He Had Enough
In regards to my previous post, we have now lost a director over the situation. For the past few days we've been doing yard work. The leaves that have fallen every winter have been left on the ground for the past few years. As a result, our lawn is dying a slow death. We were instructed a couple of weeks ago that we need to rake them up and bag them, so we worked on that earlier this week. In truth, I don't mind the work because it really does need to be done. The intern helped some the first day, but on the second day it was decided he would meet with a family while the director would do yard work. I was excluded because I had to go to a cemetery about an hour away and handle a disinterment. We were bringing up a body that had been buried in 2005. I was to go down, pick up the casket and bring it back to the crematory, where we would remove the body and cremate. Well, the director who was to rake leaves decided he had had enough, and quit without notice. So now we have two directors to cover two locations, plus we have gotten incredibly busy. We have three burials this week, two of them at the National Cemetery.
