What Do They Do When I'm Not There?

I swear I am so frustrated today. Early this week we got a call which was to be embalming, viewing and visitation, then burial at the National Cemetery, for today. I was off yesterday, and we had only one call while I was gone. You would think that knowing a couple of days ahead of time you are going to need a clean hearse and a clean limousine, that someone would take care of it when there was nothing else going on. But no...I arrive at work this morning to find the body had not been placed in the chapel, the hearse had not been cleaned or fueled, and the limousine had not been cleaned or fueled. I get so frustrated sometimes! I know I'm not the only one that actually works around the place, but I swear some days it sure feels like I am. So naturally I pushed the casket into the chapel, got the coach gassed up, and cleaned the limo and the hearse (with assistance from my slack co-workers).
