I'm a Funeral Services graduate embarking on a new career. I graduated high school in 1981, served honorably in the United States Navy from 1982-1986, been married since 1986, and have one son. I've relocated to a new state and have begun working in my chosen profession of Funeral Services, and I've never been happier.

First Electronic Death Certificate

Today we entered our first electronic death certificate. It was surprisingly easy, except when it came time to fax the record to the doctor, we were at a loss. It seems the tutorial and orientation never actually covered the process to do this. So we called the help desk and they pointed us in the right direction. We are currently waiting for the doctor to sign and fax it back to the system. We anticipate that happening tomorrow. After the doctor signs and faxes back, we take the information provided and enter it into the death certificate, then forward it to the state for approval. My only concern is reading some of these doctor's handwriting. I'll let you know how it turns out.
