I've relocated to a new state and have begun working in my chosen profession of Funeral Services, and I've never been happier.

Holy Cow, Are We Busy!

I absolutely cannot believe how busy we've gotten. July started off terribly slow. A normal July for us is about 20 calls or so. By the middle of July, we had less than a dozen. I think we ended the month at about 18. All but two of those have been full service, meaning embalming, viewing and visitation, funeral service, and then either burial or cremation. As I write this, today is Tuesday, and we are already booked solid through next Monday. Tonight we have a viewing and visitation, followed by a funeral mass tomorrow. Thursday we have two viewing/visitations, followed by two funerals on Friday, a viewing Friday night, and two viewing/visitation and funerals on Saturday. We've kept Sunday clear so far, but on Monday we have another full service viewing/visitation. Thank God I'm on vacation next week. I'm trading my days off this week due to the amount of business. Normally I would be off Friday, but I'm taking tomorrow off instead, since it's the least busiest day this week.
